DAREDEVIL! Marvel’s first Netflix show starring Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio and Rosario Dawson sure is dark and gritty. But is it any good? Well, sort of. We talk about the things we like (the acting! D’onofrio’s Wilson Fisk! Rosario Dawson being great!), but spend a lot more time talking about how bored we are of superheroes that torture and beat up street-level criminals. Presumably from poor socio-economic backgrounds.
Like, just think about your environment, okay Matt Murdock?

I thought the season as a whole was solid, but there were definitely a lot of issues with it. Why are chicks such victims? Other than Madame Gao, all the ladies are pretty wimpy. And they didn’t use Rosario Dawson nearly enough.
And that finale. COME ON. Way to unravel the interesting characters into their most basic character archetypes in the most obvious way.
So many white Chris’s in the doing superhero things right now. What’s the deal with that?
100% agree. With all of that. It seems like they decided to do the least interesting things possible with so many characters by the end of the season!
