BLACK MIRROR is the rare TV show that we actually need | That Thing You Like #95

blackmirror

BLACK MIRROR is the techno-media-culture-paranoia anthology of our times! On this THAT THING YOU LIKE, we talk about “THE NATIONAL ANTHEM”, “FIFTEEN MILLION MERITS”, and “THE ENTIRE HISTORY OF YOU” for two hours – there was understandably a lot to talk about with each episode.

Topics include traditional media vs. social media, the attitudes of society’s elite, our multi-screen media consumption, resistance as control/commodity, technology breeding myopia, and more! This episode definitely allowed us to dust off our liberal arts degrees, and it was a great time.

PLUS: Twenty minutes on CLASSIC TGIF TELEVISION! Also, get at us on Twitter and let us know: Would you?

Hope you enjoyed the show, and please, let us know what you think! And tell a friend about the pod! These things make us feel all kinds of loved. Plus, maybe throw us a review on iTunes or Stitcher or wherever? If you want to? But only if you want to. Thanks friends!

  1. Love this show. I think Brian’s specious point had to do with the audience scenes, in that the “doubles” were acting out their original’s feelings. The apple girl definitely had already found out about Bing’s crush by then, but you can see that her Mii isn’t happy about the situation.
