PARKS AND RECREATION is THE comedy for everyone – That Thing You Like #59

PARKS AND RECREATION is such a great show that it’s hard to talk about critically. I mean, That Thing You Like tried to, in this podcast, but we just ended up gushing for over an hour about how everyone needs to see this show.

Seriously, what’s to dislike? Its warm outlook on life? Its lovely, friendly characters? Its positive female characters? The amazingness that is Leslie Knope, played expertly by the amazingness that is Amy Poehler? Go ahead, try to criticize this show. We dare you.

All that said, we still love the show so hard, and really wanted to talk about it. It’s one of the best TV comedies of all time, and at this point, nearly every episode of the show is like a hug. It’s a rare thing when a show can really make you feel like all you want to do is hang out with its characters, but Parks and Rec makes it look effortless.

Plus, Jean-Ralphio. TAKE ME THERE!
