That Thing You Like #33 – Cabin in the Woods (Happy Halloween!)

Cabin in the Woods Review

It’s a spoooooooky Halloween episode! THAT THING YOU LIKE goes next level on Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard’s CABIN IN THE  WOODS! A movie that actually goes next level on the entire dang horror genre.

Though our hosts were separated by a vast expanse, no effort was spared in making sure this podcast was brought to you, dear listeners! We had a great time talking about the movie’s amazing sense of humour, its clever script, and its insanely smart meta-textual commentary. Seriously. A movie so smart, even the marketing plays into the theme they were trying to get across!

  1. I’m a new listener. In this podcast you guys said the vulgar phrase “quote unquote” so many times that I felt like throwing up. I will try listening to more episodes, but I’m really hoping that you won’t continue to use this phrase ad nauseum. Apart from anything else it doesn’t really add anything useful to the meaning of your sentences.
    Bye!

    • Hi Joseph! First, thanks for being a new listener. Second, sincere apologies for overuse of that phrase! There must have been something in the water that day, since I can guarantee you we really never use it. Like, ever again. But we hope you can forgive the sin and still enjoy other episodes of the podcast!
